Additional Information – How To Modify The Date Of A Blog Post On Squarespace

One of the most popular features of Squarespace is the ability to edit the publish date of blog posts. Unfortunately, this setting does not show up in Squarespace. To fix this, you can either change the publish date in the Metadata or the Display tab of the post, or add custom CSS. This method is the most straightforward and works best with Chrome. Then, just copy and paste the code into the right place.

If the issue is not resolved, simply update your Squarespace site to version 7.1. Then, you can edit the custom code in the relevant places to change the date on a post. Once you’ve made the changes, your new date should be displayed in the post’s URL. If you’re using a template, make sure to change it to the correct version. For example, you can’t change the name of a post in Squarespace, but you can edit it in the template.

Then, go to the summary block on the right and edit the post’s content. You can change the date in any way you wish, so long as the content you add remains consistent. Once you’ve changed the date, you can now copy and paste it in any other blog post. It’s really that easy! If you have a template, you’ll find it easier to customize it.
